Dumfries Museum & Camera Obscura: Centred around an eighteenth century windmill, Dumfries Museum and Camera Obscura is less than 10 miles from Mabie. Discover the history of the surrounding area, and enjoy the wonderful views.
The Globe Inn: Established in 1610, The Globe Inn (Dumfries) is synonymous with the poet Robert Burns. The pub is full of memorabilia from the time of Robert burns, including etching on the windows of Burn's poems.
Dumfries & Galloway Aviation Museum: Centred around the old RAF Dumfries control tower, the Aviation Museum includes a Spitfire MkII. The attractions are both in and out of doors.
