map reading
  • If you are new to mountain biking, start on the easiest grade trails and build your confidence, experience and technique before you attempt harder trails.
  • Mountain biking is a dangerous sport, so always wear appropriate safety equipment including a cycling helmet.
  • Always tell someone where you have gone cycling, and when you expect to be back. Be aware of escape routes back to the trail head.
