Waterfalls at Glentrool

Glentrool is very different than the other 7 Stanes centres in that the emphasis is not on singletrack, but about exploring the Glentrool forest. Although not technical Glentrool has demanding climbs and boasts 58 km on wide forest track.

  • Opened in June 2007, Glentrool blue is 65% singletrack with smooth climbs and a long 2.5 km decent back to the car park.

  • Unlike all other 7 Stanes routes, the Big Country Route doesn't have a single km of singletrack. The emphasis is on exploring the vast forests of Glentrool on minor roads and forest tracks. Make sure you go fully equipped as this is a committing and long route. Big climbs and descents.
