Ben Nevis Distillery: One of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland, Ben Nevis (named after the highest mountain in Scotland) offers a visitor center with audio visual displays and tutored tasting.
Great Glen Way: At 73 miles the Great Glen Way is one of Scotland's longest walks. Starting in Fort William it first runs along the impressive Caledonian Canal. This section is flat and wide, which makes it ideal for a gentle stroll.
Train to Malaig: A great day out from Fort William, the trip is one of the UK's 'Great Railway Journeys'. Through impressive mountains and beside beautiful lochs, through tunnels and over viaducts; on a good day the views are tremendous.
