Kippford: A beautiful village on the sea shore with expansive views over the Solway Firth Estuary. Go fishing or enjoy fish and chips from the pub. Only a few miles from Dalbeattie Trail Head.
Sandyhills: Sandyhills is a beautiful coastal village with a lovely sandy beach to explore. Close by there is also the Southerness Championship golf course.
Dalbeattie and the Titanic: The Titanic's first officer came from Dalbeattie, and the town is proud of this connection. Visit the Museum on Southwick Road which holds a display dedicated to the Titanic disaster. From here you can pick up a Titanic Trail map of Dalbeattie. Open from 11am to 4 pm, from April till September.
